RESCUE DIVER COURSE OUTLINES
AND SCHEDULES
  This course trains divers
with basic first aid certificates in the knowledge and skills needed to manage risks and effectively handle in-water problems and diving emergencies. Skills to be learned including: assist, transports, surface rescues and rescue from depth involving boat and shore based skin and scuba divers, and first aid care.
Additional training in basic first aid is required
for those not yet certified. The course meets the prerequisite rescue training for NAUI Skin Diving Instructor,
NAUI and PADI Assistant Instructor, Divemaster and Instructor courses.

BASIC FIRST AIDER COURSE OVERVIEW AND OUTLINES
   SZSWC used the National Safety Council (NSC),
Diver Alert Networks
(DAN),
PADI First Responder
and Hong Kong Underwater Association (HKUA) First Aid / CPR
(Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) standards to train and qualify
Rescue Divers,
Scuba Instructors, Teachers and
Laypersons in the basic knowledge and techniques to deal with

Course Outlines
The
Basic First Aid & CPR Course is a 20-hours Course, can be completed in 2 -3 Days. Minimum Class size is 6.
The
Course covers:
Basic Life Supports, Medical Emergency,
Victim Assessment, Treatment for Shock, Bleeding, Wounds, Poisoning, Burns, Cold & Heat Related Injuries,
Bone, Joint and Muscle Injuries;
Bandaging and Splinting,
One
and Two Rescuers CPR for Adult, Child and Infant, Moving and Rescuing Victim
etc.
MASTER DIVER COURSE OUTLINES
AND SCHEDULES
This course is an continuing education certification course for divers who wish to increase their understanding and enjoyment of diving. This is the
highest level of certification for non-leadership level. The course contents emphasise on practical application of knowledge and skills in open water scuba diving.
Profound knowledge training in various subjects, including: Diving Physics,
Diving Medicine and Physiology,
Diving Environment,
Diving Equipment, Decompression and Recompression, Diving Techniques, Specialized Diving Activities and Leadership Diving Skills. This is an excellent progression toward Leadership roles.

COURSE PREREQUISITES

Minimum age for this course is 15.
|
|
|
Certified Advanced Scuba Diver of any recognized agency.
|
|
|
Current First Aid & CPR Certifications (required prior to graduation) Students may take the combined course to fulfil this requirement.

 QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATES
|
|
Graduates of this course will be certified as NAUI Scuba Rescue Diver
and NAUI Master Diver, who are internationally recognized and considered competent to perform
assist and rescue in open water provided the diving site and diving situations approximate those of the course.
|
|
|
Graduates may use this certification as a prerequisite for the NAUI Assistant Instructor, Divemaster Courses and/or Instructor Training Courses.
|
DIVE EQUIPMENT
  Students are required to have their
Personal Dive Equipment for the Course (such as Mask, Snorkel, Boots, Fins and Wetsuit) for better adaptation and performance.
